PREPARING THE NEXT GENERATION OF ENGINEERS FOR THE CHALLENGES OF THE MODERN WORLD
We need to redefine the engineering profession. Why? To overcome the immense social and climate-related challenges before us. To help our fellow citizens make informed decisions. And to prepare the next generation to make a tangible difference in creating a more sustainable and equitable world.
This means we need to rethink our programs to help future engineers gain a broader understanding of today’s most pressing issues. At the same time, we need to encourage them to excel and let their talent shine. We want to offer a student experience that combines thought-provoking teaching and opportunities for self-fulfillment.

SHAPE TOMORROW’S ENGINEERS TO SOLVE COMPLEX PROBLEMS AND BUILD A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE
Reimagining the world is no small task. That’s why we believe it’s necessary to combine high academic standards with opportunities to gain a better understanding of the world and develop positive leadership skills.
Our programs must allow future engineers to develop a strong technical foundation by alternating classroom learning with practical experience. Students also need to learn to work as part of interdisciplinary teams, as this will prepare them to collaborate on initiatives that reflect our society and make it a better place.
RE-IMAGINE THE STUDENT EXPERIENCE TO MAKE IT MORE INSPIRING AND ENGAGING
We want to give the next generation the chance to achieve their full potential, gain the confidence they need to explore the unknown and increase their awareness of social issues.
To make this possible, we will review our academic management system and our relations with the student community, looking for ways to facilitate communication between the various members of the Polytechnique community. We will also make our university more welcoming and conducive to success by stepping up support for students with different needs and backgrounds and by making improvements to our facilities.
